2-Day Mt. Fuji Guided Climb via Fujinomiya Route | Stamina-Friendly (Shinjuku 8:45 / Haneda 9:45 Dep.)

Tour Highlights

Point 1: [Ultimate Beginner-Friendly] Warm Up Your Body Like a "Pre-Game Jog" Before the Midnight Summit Push

Shortest Route

Before a sports match, athletes warm up with a light jog. Day 1 of this course is designed around that exact concept.
From Fujinomiya 5th Station (altitude 2,400 m) to Original 7th Station Yamaguchi Sanso (altitude 3,010 m), the walking distance is just 2.2 km (approx. 3 hours). Instead of aiming for a high-altitude mountain hut right away, you warm up gently while letting your body adapt to Mt. Fuji's air and inclines.
After warming up your legs above 3,000 meters, you reach the mountain hut before sunset. Arriving before getting chilled, you enjoy dinner and prepare for the midnight summit attack.
A body in a "warmed-up state" moves much smoother than one in a "cold state." This tour applies that physiological principle directly to Mt. Fuji climbing. Restarting in the middle of the night with a properly warmed-up body allows you to head for the summit with ease right from your very first step.
※ Departure from the 5th Station is in the afternoon. Arrival at the mountain hut will be around 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. While stay time at the hut is concise, it creates the ideal rhythm. Eat well, lie down, and prepare for your midnight summit push.

Point 2: [Altitude Sickness Prevention] "Acclimatizing Through Activity" is This Tour's Core Strategy

Resting at Mountain Hut

Altitude sickness is the #1 reason climbers retire on Mt. Fuji. While standard advice suggests "resting quietly to adapt," this tour takes a slightly different approach.
By walking on your own feet from 2,400 m to 3,010 m on Day 1, your body naturally adapts to elevation changes. Increasing altitude gradually while hiking—rather than ascending rapidly by vehicle—is the true core of altitude sickness prevention on this route.
Arrival at Yamaguchi Sanso (3,010 m) is around 4:00 PM–5:00 PM. Although stay time is concise, enjoying dinner and resting lying down prepares you for the midnight ascent. Even with a short stay, the altitude acclimatization earned on foot on Day 1 remains firmly in your system.
Rather than long hours of static rest, starting in the middle of the night with a "body acclimatized through activity" is our solution to altitude sickness.

Point 3: [Join from 27 Airports Nationwide] Depart Haneda at 9:45 AM—Climb Mt. Fuji Without Staying Overnight Beforehand!

Climb Mt. Fuji from Across Japan

"I want to climb Mt. Fuji, but I live far away and gave up because I would need to stay overnight in Tokyo beforehand..." Great news for you! Designed with the desire to let people from all over Japan experience Mt. Fuji, this tour is built around a 9:45 AM departure from Haneda Airport. This enables participants from 27 airports across Japan to join on the first morning flight of the day.

By taking a flight arriving at Haneda Airport by 9:20 AM, you eliminate the cost and time of staying overnight before the tour. Furthermore, taking a return flight departing Haneda after 7:00 PM (19:00) allows you to return home the same day, completing your Mt. Fuji climb in just a weekend. It is a special setup that easily turns your dream of "climbing Japan's highest peak" into reality from anywhere in the country.

■ Choose Your Pickup & Dismissal Locations Freely!

Even more convenient, combinations such as "Haneda Airport pickup → Shinjuku dismissal" or "Shinjuku pickup → Haneda Airport dismissal" are completely flexible. For instance, you can arrive at Haneda by plane on Day 1, and head home from Shinjuku by train or bus on Day 2. It is an open tour accessible to everyone nationwide, adaptable to your schedule and lifestyle.

【How to Apply】
On the application form, please enter the number of participants for your bus boarding site (meeting location). If your drop-off site (dismissal location) differs from your pickup location, simply inform our staff on the day of departure.

■ Booking Your Own Airfare is Much More Cost-Effective!

We recommend booking your round-trip airfare to Haneda Airport early on airline websites. By leveraging early-bird fares and special discounts combined with this tour, you can achieve your Mt. Fuji climb at a very affordable price even from afar.

■ Timing for Airfare Reservations & Payment

Tour booking status changes from "Accepting Applications" to "Confirmed Operation". Please keep the following in mind when booking airfare:

  • If "Accepting Applications":
We recommend holding off on airfare payment until the tour is marked as "Confirmed Operation." We make operational decisions as quickly as possible, and at the latest by 55 days prior to departure.
  • If You Wish to Secure Airfare Early:
In many cases, airfare can be canceled up to 55 days before departure for only a ¥440 refund fee per segment (※1). If you are concerned about price fluctuations or sell-outs, booking and paying early is also a viable option.

※1 Some discount or promotional fares incur cancellation fees immediately after payment. Please be sure to check your airline's fare rules when booking.

※ Airports with same-day round-trip availability (Summer schedule assumption): Hokkaido (New Chitose), Tohoku (Aomori, Akita, Shonai), Hokuriku/Chubu (Komatsu, Toyama, Chubu), Kansai (Kansai Intl, Kobe, Itami), Chugoku (Okayama, Iwakuni, Hiroshima, Yonago, Tottori, Yamaguchi Ube), Shikoku (Takamatsu, Matsuyama, Tokushima), Kyushu (Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, Oita, Saga, Kagoshima, Nagasaki, Miyazaki, Kumamoto).
※ Schedules are subject to change by flight operators. Please verify your individual flight times.

■ Shinjuku Departure is also at 8:45 AM! A Relaxed Start for Greater Tokyo Residents

Aligned with the Haneda group schedule, departure from Shinjuku is set for a comfortable 8:45 AM. Avoiding early morning rushes so you can prepare calmly before hiking is a huge advantage for participants from the Tokyo metropolitan area as well. Travelers from afar enjoy "no overnight stay needed," while local participants enjoy a "relaxed departure"—enabling everyone to join in peak condition.

Point 4: Guided Tour to Japan's Highest Peak, "Kengamine (3,776 m)"

Group at Summit

While Day 1 takes a relaxed pace, Day 2 involves solid trekking toward the summit. Once high-altitude acclimatization is successful, your body will move surprisingly well. Your guide will lead at an appropriate pace and guide you to Japan's highest point, "Kengamine Peak."

※ Depending on severe weather, trail congestion, or participant health, the guide may decide to descend without visiting Kengamine Peak.

Point 5: Fully Guided Climb! Hot Spring Stop After Descent (Bathing Fee Paid Individually)

Small Group Tour

During the climb, professional guides who know the Fujinomiya and Prince routes inside and out accompany you at a ratio of 1 guide per 15 participants. They manage the pace and lead safely. After descending, we stop at a hot spring facility. Since the bathing fee is not included in the tour price, you can freely spend your time—whether soaking in the hot spring, enjoying meals or beer, or browsing for souvenirs.

※ Bathing fees, food, and drinks are paid individually. ※ The hot spring stop may be shortened or omitted depending on traffic conditions.

Point 6: Popular Mt. Fuji Gear Rental Sets from Trusted Partner "Yamarent"

Even in midsummer, temperatures near Mt. Fuji's summit drop close to freezing. A common misconception among beginners is that "a down jacket alone is enough for warmth." However, down jackets trap sweat and cause chills, making them unsuitable for wearing while hiking. For your safety, this tour recommends the Complete 7-Piece Set (¥9,000), which includes a fleece jacket. For those concerned about physical endurance, we also offer the Full Support 12-Piece Set (¥16,000). Complete with trekking pants, performance tights, and knee supporters designed for hiking to reduce strain on your legs, proper gear will strongly support your summit success.
