I created a tenugui towel with the theme of a devoted pair of ptarmigans.
Although the number of ptarmigans is increasing thanks to the "Ptarmigan Restoration Project," the harsh environment surrounding them remains unchanged.
The advance of animals from the village, changes in the vegetation that they feed on, and the actions of us hikers are all pushing the Japanese ptarmigan into a corner.
Even during the tough climbs and lonely fog, just seeing a ptarmigan gives me energy. I hope they can survive in this harsh natural environment.
