  ※After the deadline, the special price no longer applies (please apply directly at Yamarent. Online applications accepted until 2 days before pickup).
• Pickup: Shinjuku departure → at Shinjuku meeting point before departure; Haneda Airport departure → after arriving at Fujinomiya 5th Station.
• Return: After descending, at the 5th Station or before departure from the hot spring facility.

■ What is included in the 12-Piece Set

【01】Rain Jacket & Pants

Yamarent uses Mizuno's "Berg Tech EX Storm Saber" and similar products as standard rain gear. Waterproof breathability – keeping rain out while allowing moisture to escape – is essential for hiking rain gear. While Gore-Tex is a well-known material, Mizuno's proprietary "Berg Tech EX" and similar fabrics offer comparable performance.

【02】Backpack

28–35L / The most popular size at Yamarent. Keeping your pack to this size is key to reaching the summit, as overly heavy loads drain your energy.

【03】Hiking Boots ★ Complimentary hiking socks included!

All customers who rent hiking boots receive complimentary hiking socks. Rough terrain puts significant stress on your feet. Hiking boots protect your ankles, provide stability, and feature thick, sturdy soles that make a noticeable difference on mountain trails. We carry styles that are easy to wear even for first-time hikers.

【04】Trekking Poles

Four points of contact with the ground improves stability and distributes fatigue compared to walking on two legs. Reducing knee strain on the descent is especially important. Poles absorb the shock of downhill steps, significantly reducing overall fatigue.

【05】Headlamp

You may think you won't need one since you won't be hiking at night, but unexpected delays, poor visibility in bad weather, or early morning departures when it's still dark occur more often than expected. The headlamp switches on by simply tilting the head unit, making it easy to use in the dark. Replacement AAA batteries are also included.

【06】Short Gaiters (Ankle Covers)

In hiking, "short gaiters" are ankle covers worn over your shoes – different from everyday leggings. They prevent rain and sand from entering your shoes.

【07】Fleece Jacket

Fleece is lighter and more elastic than wool and easy to handle, making it popular for hiking. If the fleece is not warm enough, layer rain gear over it to block wind and improve insulation. While fleece from non-hiking brands or down jackets can substitute, hooded or non-zip-front styles are not suitable.

【08】Trekking Pants

Trekking pants need to be durable enough to withstand contact with rocks, quick-drying, and flexible for high steps and bends. Yamarent's trekking pants are made from durable materials with 3D cuts to meet these requirements.

【09】Performance Tights

Supporting joints and muscles helps reduce fatigue during activity and protects knees from impact at landing. You'll notice a real difference in leg fatigue compared to not wearing them.

【10】Knee Supporters

Many people experience knee pain on the descent when impact is greatest. Knee supporters help absorb this impact for a more comfortable climb. We use genuine hiking knee supporters from Mizuno and Mont-bell.

【11】Outer Gloves

Gripping rocks, supporting yourself on trees, or bracing your hands are common on hiking trails, and you'll quickly feel the value of gloves. The flexible, splash-resistant gloves effectively block cold wind. They can be used alone for warmth during trekking, or layered with thin gloves as overmitts for all-season use.

【12】Hat

Walking for hours under direct sunlight wastes energy and can lead to heat exhaustion before you realize it. Even if you don't usually wear a hat, keep one in your pack and use it as needed. The rental hat can be loosely folded for compact storage, with loops inside for attaching a chin strap.
